Following the success of their recent Women’s Health event, EMR USA, Virtua Health and CamCare, teamed up with Burlington Camden County Regional Chronic Disease Coalition (BCCRCDC) and the City of Camden to support the well-being and health of males in Camden, New Jersey, by hosting a free wellness day on Saturday, November 2.

The event helped to raise awareness, educate and promote the physical and mental well-being of males from across the city. On the day, men were able to take advantage of free health checks – including cancer screening and Covid and influenza vaccines - and enjoy expert talks from guest speakers, a bootcamp and variety of exercise sessions, a barber, and free food and refreshments.

EMR USA has also donated $50,000 to Virtua Health to invest in a mobile cancer screening unit that will help make a meaningful difference within New Jersey communities by addressing critical healthcare issues.

Joe Balzano, EMR USA CEO, commented: “We were delighted to host the Men’s Health event in partnership with Virtua Health, CamCare, BCCRCDC and the City of Camden, where we provided vital health and well-being services to males from across the city. This followed our successful Women’s Health event, which we held in June.

“At EMR, we pride ourselves on our commitment to environmental and social causes. With 55 facilities across the US, and 6 in New Jersey, it is a responsibility we take seriously, and the health of our staff and the communities in which we serve is paramount. The event on November 2 was a great day, and we were excited to see everyone come together to promote the importance of men’s health, and help to create a better future for the people of Camden.”
